Aims

The aims for our Federation form three layers of activity, from the Inner which is the federation of schools with their own particular goals, to the Middle - which represents their goals for relating to other bodies, to the Outer - which aims for national and international recognition.

Inner Layer

To provide enhanced learning opportunities for primary, secondary and special needs children in South Devon
To offer a wide range of continuing professional development possibilities for all staff
To optimise the use of shared facilities across all three sites to the benefit of all students

Middle Layer

To create and foster relationships with other schools/colleges in Devon, for sharing best demonstrated practice in teaching and learning
To extend links with Devon employers to provide a 2-way link between education and employment where opportunities for collaboration can be sought
To develop greater links with Further and Higher Education institutes in the county in order to provide children with more choice and guidance on future learning opportunities
To seek out greater opportunities for local community involvement in teaching and learning with the Federation
To develop closer links with the LEA, DfES and other educational bodies, to ensure greater awareness of local and central perspectives on education and to promote more knowledge sharing with and from others
