| Target |
Implementation |
- To improve the SATS profiles at KS1/2 and KS2/3 by improving the raw scores within each band by 15%.
|
- In year 1, to take baseline measurement by identifying a group of 25-30 ex-Dartington Primary pupils from year 10 in KEVICC and retrospectively tracking their SATS scores at band level
- To identify a cross-section of circa 50% of current year 6 Dartington Primary pupils whose all-round ability is broadly similar to the baseline group and whose progress to track through to KS2/3
- In years 1, 2 and 3, to moderate the progress of these pupils in conjunction with key teaching staff, so that hypotheses for good or poor progress can be developed and tested and that teaching methods may be adjusted accordingly
- To enable year 6 teachers and corresponding secondary teachers to learn from the pupils’ progress at each point, identifying reasons for any regression compared to ‘expected progress’ from their year 6 performance
- To compare the overall progress of the pilot group of current year 6 pupils once in year 10 and expect to have achieved a 15% improvement across the board
- To publish and publicise the results.
[Note: this would be conducted ‘blind’ from the pupils’ perspective, so that no individual advantage could be derived from being a selected group.]
|
- To ensure that the identified students at Bidwell Brook have the relevant and appropriate inclusion experience at the appropriate transition points.
|
- To align curriculum content.
- To identify a cross-section of 50% of inclusive Bidwell Brook students, monitor progress – social and academic.
